RV Inverter Installation in Las Vegas
Your batteries store power. Your inverter decides what you can actually run. Sizing it wrong is the most common mistake in RV electrical upgrades.
What an inverter really does
Everything plugged into your RV's household outlets, from the microwave to a residential refrigerator to the air conditioner, runs on the same 120 volt power a house uses. Your batteries store low-voltage DC. The inverter converts one into the other, and its capacity sets a hard ceiling on what can run at once. A small inverter handles a TV and a laptop. Running a microwave while the fridge cycles takes more. Running air conditioning takes serious capacity, with headroom on top for the compressor's startup surge.
Sizing is about surge, not just watts
The number on the box is continuous output, but motors do not start politely. An air conditioner compressor can briefly demand a multiple of its running power the instant it kicks on, and if the inverter cannot deliver that surge, the AC simply does not start. Proper sizing accounts for your largest surge load stacked on top of everything else that might be running at the same moment. That is why we spec the inverter and the battery bank together, never in isolation.
Why pure sine wave output matters
Cheaper inverters produce a choppy approximation of household power. Sensitive electronics, compressor motors, and modern appliances run hotter, louder, or not at all on it. The install matters here most of all
An inverter installation moves more current than anything else in your coach. Cable gauge, fusing, transfer switching, and grounding all have to be right, and the difference between right and almost right is heat. Our RVIA/RVDA certified technicians install inverters as part of a designed electrical system, integrated with your batteries, your charge sources, and your distribution panel.

Can I upgrade just the inverter without touching my battery bank?
Sometimes, but not always. A bigger inverter needs cabling, fusing, and a battery bank sized to match it, so we look at the whole system rather than swapping one component in isolation.
Is a pure sine wave inverter really necessary, or is a cheaper one fine?
For most modern RVs, yes. Sensitive electronics and compressor-driven appliances like your AC run hotter, louder, or not at all on a cheaper inverter's rougher output. Pure sine wave matches what those appliances were actually designed for.
Why does my inverter need to handle more than my appliance's rated wattage?
